The evening of October 6th marks the grand opening of UNStudio's new exhibit, Motion Matters 4.0 at the Architektur Galerie in Munich. The opening ceremonies will coincide with the first day of the Expo Real International Trade Fair for Property and Investment and include a welcome speech by the Dutch Consul General Peter Vermeij, followed by an introductory talk about the exhibit from UNStudio co-founder and principal Ben van Berkel.
A collection of the firm's landmark projects, the exhibition seeks to express a perspective on 26 years of practice and current trends in architecture, as well as encourage a larger discourse on the challenges facing the world of design today. Rather than a display to be observed, the exhibit invites active participation and interacts with the visitor, resulting in a spatially dynamic gallery experience. The fourth part of a series of exhibits, the Motion Matters concept has been previously featured in installations at the Harvard Design School, the Aedes Gallery in Berlin, and the MAXXI Museum in Rome.
The exhibition will remain on view through November 7.
